I made a jail for the kids at the dining room table. Madeline immediately said, "Mom, that doesn't look safe."
However, Madeline doesn't see any safety issues with riding her scooter. She's still learning how to balance. We've had two minor crashes without injury. On the first crash, she jumped gracefully over the handle bars when her front wheel went into a hole. On the second crash, Madeline landed face down in a muddy yard.
Madeline set up booster seats for Kitty and Bug at breakfast. Bug is a stuffed bed bug freebie from a mattress store. I think Bug is creepy, but he is Madeline's new favorite animal.
We finally found a new big girl loft bed for Madeline - on sale for half price! Also found a very bright bedding set to go with her very bright pink walls. She seems to be thrilled with her new set-up.
Both kids finally napping for Erik after a van ride. I believe that was the first nap that Alex had taken for us in close to three weeks.
Alex is putting together four-word sentences and parroting us all day long. We are often amazed or entertained by what comes out of his mouth. He's so sweet when he says "Good night, Madeline" and gives his sister a hug and a kiss.
