Alex's 2nd Birthday

Alex turned 2 on April 7.  Yes, that was a month and half ago.  We had a family party at home.  Alex seemed to soak up the whole experience.  He enjoyed opening gifts and was most excited about blowing out candles.

Alex was thrilled to lick the frosting off his candles.  Eventually I discovered that had eaten about 1cm off the bottom of the candles.

Madeline was very excited about Alex's gifts.  She said, "It's like it's my birthday, but it really isn't."  Later in the weekend, she turned Alex's new soccer goal into a hammock for her cats.
