A Native Oregonian

Like a true native Oregonian, Madeline believes that a bit of sunshine calls for shorts (or a skirt, as the case may be).  Although the thermometer read 48 degrees, Madeline insisted on summer clothing, including flip-flops, for our walk/scooter ride to the grocery store today.

The rest of the family dressed a bit more appropriately for the weather.

The winds picked up and the sun disappeared during our trip.  By the time we arrived at MOC, it was hailing!  Snow also fell briefly while we were shopping.  Luckily, Mom and Dad had packed a coat and pants for Miss Madeline.  The trip home was still less than pleasant as flip flops don't work so well with a scooter or the bitter cold.  Thank goodness there were some fleecy jammies with feet waiting in Madeline's dresser.
